Research Officer – Travellers in Prison Project
The Irish Chaplaincy in Britain (ICB) is a small but established faith based charity, that works to care for Irish emigrants in the UK. An exciting new opportunity is now available for a research officer to conduct an in depth research project to examine the situation of Irish Travellers in the prison system in England and Wales.
The new project aims to develop evidence based service delivery and policy interventions for this vulnerable group of Irish prisoners. We are looking for a person who has first class quantitative and qualitative research skills and who understands the needs of Irish Travellers and their families. Both self-motivated and able to work independently to deliver the research project within tight deadlines, you will make a positive difference to one of the most vulnerable groups in UK society today.

Salary scale: £27,007 – 29, 575 (SCP: 28-31)
Hours: Fulltime – 35 hours per week.
Location: Based London NW1 but with 40% travel time across UK (occasional overnight stays required)
