Hiroshima and Nagasaki remembered

 The victims of the first atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki 55 years ago are being remembered this week in prayer vigils around the country. In London, Pax Christi are organising two events at Westminster Cathedral. On Sunday, 6 August, a prayer vigil for the victims of Hiroshima takes place at 11.30am and 3pm, followed by Mass. On Wednesday 9 August, prayers are being said outside the cathedral at 11.30 and 3pm for the victims of the Nagasaki bombing. (There is no Mass.)
