TV stars win funds for Catholic Children's Society
Comment Email Print
¬†A special celebrity edition of the hit TV show Who Wants to be a Millionaire? has brought an unexpected bonus of £125,000 to Westminster's Catholic Children's Society. Comedians Frank Skinner and David Baddiel won the money on Boxing Day after answering a series of general knowledge questions. The Society's director, Jim Richards said: "This totally unexpected boost to our funds will be used in a specific way to help our work in preventing family breakdown. We have been fundraising hard to further this work since the launch of our appeal by Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor in November. I am very much looking forward to thanking Frank Skinner personally and we will be happy to arrange for him to visit our centres early in the new year."
