Aylesford: TV star to launch Family Fun Day

¬†Comedian Dominic Holland will be doing a star turn at this year's Family Fun Day at Aylesford Priory on Saturday, 6 July. The star of Radio Four's Small World of Dominic Holland - he has appeared on many shows including Have I Got News For You, The Brian Conley Show, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Graham Norton. There will be something for everyone at the Fun Day. Entertainment will include a birds of prey display, performances by an Irish dance troupe and pop band Breakthru. For the children there will be pony rides, a bouncy castle, inflatable slide, Punch and Judy show, a stagecoach ride and various games stalls - while Mums and Dads can enjoy picking up a bargain on the many stalls, enjoying a pint in the beer tent or sampling a delicious cream tea while watching the Wimbledon Final in the 13th Century Pilgrim's Hall. Or they can wander through the Craft Fayre, stock up the larder with the home-made cakes or the garden from the plant stalls. Bigger kids and adults will enjoy trying their skill at the laser shoot, rifle range and the coconut shy, while the little ones can hook a duck or splat the rat. At the end of the day there will be a grand auction. There will also be a competition to win a brand new Ford Fiesta 1.4 Zetec. The day begins at 11.30am. Entrance is just £2 for adults. All children are free and the day closes with Mass celebrated by the Prior, Fr Wilfrid McGreal O Carm at 5.00pm.
