Comment Email Print
¬†The Diocese of Portsmouth has launched its new website at: Designed by the Editor of Portsmouth People, Kathryn Turner, the website was launched at Pentecost, to coincide with the publication of new Larger pastoral Areas, which will replace the existing parish structures. The website will be followed later in the year by a Diocesan Intranet which will have as its hub a single diocesan database. "As a diocese, we have always been among the leaders in using technology for communication," said the Diocesan Communications Officer, Barry Hudd. "This is out fourth generation website and it reflects much of the life and work of our Diocese. It is a resource for the people of the Diocese, and will become more so as time goes on. Catechetical as well as administrative documents can be downloaded and we are confident that more and more of our work and our mission will be online. In time to come, multimedia will be expanded. The website will never be finished ≠ it is a live, dynamic resource and a mirror of life in the Diocese of Portsmouth".
