One Planet - Fit For Life?
Comment Email Print
¬†Biodiversity, GM crops, population growth, but also the dawn and sunset chorus of birdsong and the beauty of nature all around us. Led by well-known environmentalists Mary Colwell and Columban father, SeŠn McDonagh, a forthcoming weekend at Emmaus House will be focused not only on the problems facing our natural world but also on the riches and hope it offers us as we discover or rediscover our interconnectedness with all living things. Religion has often been blamed for much that is amiss in our attitudes towards the earth and each other, but there is much that the ancient wisdom of Christianity can still tell us. Creation is central to the Eucharist but what does that mean to us today? Indeed, how can we, given the complexity of life and creation, spread its message of Christian hope? The weekend begins at 6.30pm on Friday 18th May and ends with lunch on Sunday 20th May. The cost, which includes accommodation, is £130. It is also possible to be non-residential and follow each day separately. For all further information please contact either Angela or Fiona at Emmaus House: Email:
