Vatican theologian to give lecture on Marian prayer at Westminster Abbey

¬†Fr Anthony Ward SM, from the Congregation of Divine Worship, at the Vatican, will give a lecture on The Blessed Virgin Mary in Some Recent Prayers of the Roman Liturgy, in the Jerusalem Chamber, Westminster Abbey. this Saturday. The event begins at 11.30am. The day has been arranged by the Ecumenical Society of the Blessed Virgin Mary by kind permission of the Dean of Westminster Abbey. Admission is free and all are welcome. The ESBVM was founded in 1967 to promote unity amongst Christians through study and devotion of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mary is seen as a focus and source of unity,rather than division. Conferences and congresses are arranged and publications of papers have proved a valuable resource material. The most recent publication is Mary for Time and Eternity published last year. A conference ≠ United with Mary in Prayer:Ecumenism and the Mother of God is to be held at Aylesford Priory in Kent from 5-8 September.
