Children sing for peace
Kids For Peace, the choir of children from the Bruderhof Community in Sussex, have written a new song and some poetry, about the recent tragic events in America. They have also started a peace essay and poetry competition.
Many of the children personally knew one of the victims of the terrorist attack in New York, Fr Mychal Judge, chaplain to the fire service, who was killed while ministering to firemen injured rescuing victims of the Twin Towers collapse.
Fr Mike travelled with Kids for Peace
on a recent tour of Northern Ireland. A statement from the choir
said: "Always cracking jokes and everyone's friend, he was
a man who really cared about people. Fr Mike sacrificed his life
serving others: "No greater service can a man do than to
lay down his life for his friend" (Jn. 15:13).
