guru to visit north London school
William Carson
Humphrey Walters, who played a key role in England's successful 2003 rugby union World Cup team, will give a talk at St Gildas' RC Junior School in Crouch End, N8 next Monday.
Starting at 10.40am Humphrey will be talking to pupils about inspirational adventures and the importance of teamwork.
Head Teacher Mrs Rincon invited Humphrey to visit the school as part of the build up to a charity bike ride being held in July when two school parents cycle from Edinburgh to London to raise money for the school.
As well as advising the England rugby team, Humphrey has worked with Premier League football teams, schools, major corporations, government departments, industry and professional bodies helping them to build and motivate winning teams.
"We were thrilled when Humphrey agreed to come to the school and speak with the children. We know he will make a huge impact on our pupils and the teachers!" said Mrs Rincon.
The bike ride in July will raise funds for the Crouch End Catholic Junior and Infant schools, St Gildas' and St Peter-in-Chains (Elm Grove).
St Peter in Chains and St Gildas' RC Schools are two of the best performing schools in North London based in Crouch End N8. You can find out more about the schools at www.stgildas.co.uk and www.stpeterinchains.net
