Icon to be dedicated to Eamonn Andrews
A special Mass and Dedication of a new Icon in the memory of entertainer Eamonn Andrews will take place at his Parish Church, Our Lady of Grace, 247 Chiswick High Road, W4 at 6.30pm on Saturday, 12 April.
The icon is of St Genesius, actor and martyr and the patron saint of actors. When Genesius refused to take part in a satire on the Sacrament of Christian Baptism, the Emperor Diocletian ordered his death.
Eamonn was a former xhairman of The Catholic
Stage Guild, Adter his death a bursary was founded in his name
to assist young actors with various projects. This has now been
wound up and the remaining funds have been used to commission
the icon in Eamonn's name.
