CJM offer free Eastertide podcasts on Spe Salvi

Throughout Eastertide the Archdiocese of Birmingham in association with CJM Music and Alive Publishing are offering nine freely downloadable podcasts which explore the Pope's second encyclical Spe Salvi - on Christian hope - in the light of the Sunday Scripture readings leading up to Pentecost.

This weekly series of podcasts, collectively entitled 'Walk with Me A Journey of Prayer' are produced by Joanne Boyce & Mike Stanley of Catholic Music Ministry, CJM Music and are introduced by the Most Rev. Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Birmingham. They take as their starting point the Pope's latest encyclical 'Spe Salvi' and explore the virtue of Christian Hope. They also feature music from Boyce & Stanley and American Composers John Angotti and Danielle Rose with piano meditations from Sutton Coldfield based Andy Ross. This Eastertide series also features students and staff from Cardinal Griffin Catholic High School in Cannock, Staffordshire, sharing readings from Scripture.

The podcasts can be listened to or downloaded from: www.cjmmusic.co.uk/liturgy/walkwithme or via the iTunes music store (enter 'walk with me a journey of prayer' into the iTunes search engine)

"It is our hope," says Archbishop Nichols, "that this preparation will help us to respond to the challenge given by St Peter and always be prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have."

Additional music and liturgy resources can be purchased from CJM Music at: www.cjmmusic.com or by ringing 01675 466254.
