Charlotte Church's baby baptised

Ruby Megan, the nine-month-old daughter of singer Charlotte Church and rugby player Gavin Henson, was baptised at St Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Cardiff on Saturday afternoon. Close family and friends attended the service.

The couple recently announced they were expecting their second child, which is due to be born in January. Church, who is 22, said she wants six children. Speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show on Friday night she said they want to have "their own little rugby team".

Charlotte Church was raised a Roman Catholic by her mother, Maria. Her first break came at the age of 11 when she sang 'Pie Jesu' over the telephone on the television show 'Morning with Richard and Judy'.

Her first album, Voice of an Angel, a collection of arias, sacred songs, and traditional pieces sold millions worldwide and made her the youngest artist with a No. 1 album on the British classical crossover charts. After that she made several more classical and religious recordings as well as branching into pop and rock music. In April this year she said she was still training and contemplating a return to more classical music.

Church has sung in religious services in Taizé and performed before Pope John Paul II.
