Westminster: chance to be chorister for a day

Westminster Cathedral is hosting a day to show what it's like to be a chorister in one of the world's most famous choirs. The day is aimed at Catholic boys with musical potential, aged betweed 6 and 8, and will take place on Saturday, 3 February.

'Chorister for a Day', is run by Westminster Cathedral and Choir School. The first  'Chorister for a Day ', which took place in 2006 was attended by 50 boys and their parents. The programme of events gave boys and their families a chance to spend some time in the Choir School, taking part in various activities - both musical and non-musical - and ended with the boys taking part in a sung Mass with the 'real' choristers. The initiative resulted in the appointment of six new Cathedral choristers.
