Children's
Christmas card competition
Are you aged 13 or under? Fancy yourself as a budding Rembrandt,
Picasso, even Monet? Then a national Christmas card competition
being launched this week could mark the start of a glittering
career.
The winning entrant will receive free tickets to the seasonal film release The Nativity and their design will be sent out nationally as the Christmas card for the Catholic Agency to Support Evangelisation (CASE). The runner-up will receive a free book about the film, whilst the third prize winner will win a bumper art set. All the winning designs will be framed so that they can go up on display in their school or at home. Every entrant will receive a window sticker and a certificate, whilst parents, carers and teachers will be sent a copy of CASE's latest newsletter.
The competition is designed to raise awareness of an innovative project headed up by CASE which is working towards the creation of an evangelistic website for children. Project Coordinator, Emily Davis said, "Entries should be based around the Christmas story. You might want to send in a stable scene or your design might share ideas as to how Jesus could be found on the internet. Perhaps a colourful home page springs to mind or anything else that sparks your imagination? It's over to you. We really look forward to receiving your designs."
Children from across England and Wales are invited to enter. All entries must be sent to CASE by Friday 8th December with a stamped addressed A4 nvelope (30cm long). The entrant's name and age must be written on their design.
CASE also actively welcomes ideas and
comment from members of the Catholic community on the project.
Are you a budding web designer? Perhaps you are a parent, grandparent
or teacher with lots of ideas about how to pass on the faith?
