Amahl
and the Night Visitors
Roehampton University Chamber
Singers and Orchestra present Gian Carlo Menotti's Amahl and
the Night Visitors on 13 and 14 December in Digby Stuart Chapel.
This is a short Christmas Opera (about 50 minutes) suitable for
an audience aged 4 to 104!
It tells the story of a boy and his mother
who are visited by the three wise men on their way to Bethlehem.
The ensemble consists of members of the university orchestra,
chamber singers, and also community members (including a 9 year
old boy in the principal role).
